About Us

Yoga in Bayside is dedicated to providing high quality, caring Yoga instruction in a supportive, nurturing environment. We cater to the individual by holding small classes run from our beach front location. With small classes and personalised attention, the general classes suit beginners through to those more experienced. A typical 75 minute general class would consist of the following:

-Warm Up
-Vinyasa Flow where the breath is linked with dynamic Asana (postures), taught with  awareness and mindfulness. 
- Yin Yoga/ longer holding postures - focuses on releasing and strengthening the connective tissue which encases the entire body, partiularly in hips, hamstrings, lower back etc
- Inversions - specific postures that relieves back pain, promotes better spinal mobility,improves digestion and elimination,promotes lymphatic drainage and blood purification, elevates the mood and relieves depression, enhances relaxation and promotes sounder sleep.

- Relaxation/ Mediation - relaxing posture intended to rejuvenate one's body, mind and spirit
Your Teacher

Melissa Hernadi spent her younger years as a competitive gymnast and in her 20’s became interested in marathon running before discovering and adapting yoga as her primary source of mental, emotional and physical strength. Her enthusiasm, creativity and ability to communicate openly with her students in understanding their needs allows her to deliver fun, dynamic and nourishing yoga classes that infuse her students with balance of mind, body and breath.
